Justinian I
Justinian is often considered one of the greatest Byzantine Emperors, if not the greatest. He is remembered for many successful building and public health projects, a code of laws, and extending rights for women. Justinian is also remembered for being harsh, swift to act, and even murderous!
In order to discover more about Justinian and his time as Emperor of the Byzantine Empire, we are going to be reading from TCI as well as doing some close reading!
Learning Targets:
